General FAQs
-
Formal/black-tie optional. Generally, this means that women should wear floor length dresses and men should wear dark suits and ties. Tuxedos are welcome, but entirely optional.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you could dress in Regency/Victorian/Edwardian attire, but that is in no way required.
-
The wedding will be held indoors, so weather should be a minor factor. That being said, keep an eye on the weather forecast leading up the wedding because anything is possible. South Bend in October could just as easily be the 60s or 70s for highs as it could have snow.
-
Yes, but at the discretion of the bride and groom. We have a limited capacity at the venue and so only children whose names are included on the invitation may attend. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
For the dinner, children will be seated in a special section of the room. Those 10 and over may eat from the junior menu (which is the same as the adult menu, minus the alcohol). There is also a kids menu for those under 10.
-
Cocktail hour includes six types of hors d'oeuvres and an open bar.
Dinner is plated and includes spinach salad, your choice of entree and wedding cake. Please indicate your entree preference when you RSVP (and for any plus one and children).
-
By all means, please let us know! There is a place on the RSVP form to indicate who has the allergy and what they are allergic to. Our caterer will do their best to accomodate your needs.
-
Yes! But please enjoy yourself responsibly, especially if you are driving. We love all of you and would hate for anything to happen to you!
-
We are so excited to have you join our special day and your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for. However, if you would like to honor us with a present, a monetary gift toward our honeymoon or home repair fund would be very much appreciated.
Our registry includes cash funds, as well as regular gifts.
A wedding card box also will be available at our reception if you’d rather leave us a card.
Regardless of what you choose to do, thank you so much for your love and support. That means more to us than you can know.
-
They will be posted on this site.

The colors are autumn tones--think burgundy, rust, cream, chocolate, etc. The theme is literary/dark academia in the Victorian period.
-
Please contact Niki or Chris prior to the wedding. If you have questions on the day of the wedding, please contact one of the Matrons of Honor.

Yes, the venue is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp along one side that will bring you right into the main room.
-
Yes. Tippecanoe Place has a large parking lot that wraps around the side and back of the building, as well as a covered portico for dropping off guests.
-
You’ll see a gold and black oval sign on an easel in front of the doorway just under the portico. That is where you enter. The ceremony will take place in the room you walk into. Please take a seat anywhere you like, except for the rows in front marked for the parents of the bride and groom. We don’t hold to the traditional sides, so feel free to mingle.
